A very good pick for beginners since this character has no real weaknesses and nothing that really stands out either. This also means you need to be creative to surprise your opponent, especially the top players.
Focusing on defense is a good start with Costa, then you can punish a mispositionned opponent with a wide curved shot or a super lob.
Take care not to throw his super custom when you are not far from your opponent: it only ever gets dangerous after it travelled half the stage.
